Robert H. Davis, Esquire
Mr. Davis is a sole practitioner from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he represents lawyer respondents, judicial officers, health professionals, government officers and others in Pennsylvania and West Virginia before professional and judicial discipline boards and the State Ethics Commissions. He counsels law firms, lawyers and judges, provides advisory opinions, and serves as an expert witness on questions of ethics, professional responsibility, malpractice avoidance and the law of lawyering. He received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and earned a J.D. from the University of Georgia. He is former Counsel to the West Virginia State Bar and was the first staff Assistant General Counsel for the State Bar of Georgia . Mr. Davis is an adjunct professor at the Widmer University Law School and has served as Deputy Chief and as Acting Chief Counsel of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In August 2001, he was elected as a Master in the James S. Bowman American Inn of Court, and in May 2002 he received a second Pennsylvania Bar Association Special Achievement Award for his work with the Pennsylvania Bar.
Richard H. Lindner, Esquire
Richard H. Lindner received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, and earned his JD from Duquesne University School of Law. He served as a judicial clerk for a year after graduating from law school, and then maintained an office as a sole practitioner, as well as a part-time public defender and court-appointed criminal defense counsel, between August 1979 and September 1981. Mr. Lindner was then employed for five years with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel in Pittsburgh, where he was involved in the investigation and prosecution of complaints of professional misconduct against attorneys. Since September 1986, Mr. Lindner has concentrated in attorney ethics and disciplinary law. Over the past 21 years, his practice has primarily involved representing attorneys in disciplinary and reinstatement proceedings, fee dispute matters, and proceedings before the Lawyers fund for Client Security; representing Bar applicants before the State Board of Law Examiners; and providing preventive advice to attorneys on a wide range of ethics issues. He also represents other professionals, including nurses, psychologists, pharmacists and accountants, in disciplinary matters. Mr. Lindner is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (APRL). He is a frequent speaker on attorney ethics in mandatory continuing legal education programs, and periodically contributes articles on ethics to various legal publications.
